BlackBerry Classic (Q20) will be launched in December


The BlackBerry Classic (initially known as Q20) was first revealed in February, at the same time with the BlackBerry Z3. While the Z3 is available in some markets since May, the Classic has yet to be released. Last we heard, the handset was supposed to go on sale in November, but this won’t happen after all. Instead, the new device will be launched in December.

MPAA officially bans Google Glass and Galaxy Gear from theaters



The MPAA absolutely hates piracy, and as far as the MPAA is concerned, piracy starts with someone illegally recording a movie in a theater. So, the logical conclusion is to ban any and all recording devices from movie theaters. Yesterday, the MPAA updated those regulations to specifically target Google Glass and other wearables.

24 million new smart phones to enter Nigeria in 2014


As the fastest growing telecommuncations market in the world, Nigeria is to get 24 million mobile phones by the end of this year.

This was disclosed at the launch of 10 phones by Wiko Mobile, a French mobile phone maker by the International Business Director of Wiko Mobile, Marcel Van De Pas. According to him, smart phones account for 20 per cent or 400,000 units of the estimated two million monthly mobile device market in Nigeria.
