Near-finished iPhone 6 display leaked
Enterprising smartphone snappers have been at it again, this time offering up an iPhone 6 display fresh off the factory floor...
Fresh images purporting to show off the Apple iPhone 6's faceplate have leaked to the web, revealing a near-finished version of the display, courtesy of AppleClub.
Both black and white handset options are apparently in the works, which tells us that Apple's not exactly revolutionising the iPhone's design aesthetic.
Despite this, there are a number of departures from the current iPhone 5S design that fall in line with what we've seen already in previous leaks.
For one, the bezels have hit the slimfast to give the larger screen some breathing room. Two variants, 4.7-in and 5.5-in handsets, are expected to be released, with the newly leaked photos seemingly revealing the former.
There's also slighty changes to the upper speaker slit and the general layout of that area, as made apparent by slightly rejigged holes.
The rear of the panel was also leaked, showing off shiny purple film that indicates a backlight - again, not revolutionary.
There's also a QR code slap bang in the middle of the display's backside, which we're guessing is strictly for factory use.
A second QR code appears up top near the usual flex cables, although this one seems to be paired with a miniature Apple logo. Cute.
We're heard plenty on Apple's unconfirmed iPhone 6 recently, with a launch event tipped for 9th September and an actual general release expected slightly later on 19th September.
As usual, you can check out our iPhone 6 rumours round-up page for the latest on Apple's next blower.
